1. Placing an order           

Do I need an account to order online?
You do not need an account to order from our web shop. However, we recommend creating an account as it allows you to view your order history, save your shipping and billing information and simplifies tracking current orders.

Can I make changes to an existing order?            
We always try to ship everything out to you as soon as possible, but if you want to make changes, please let us know as soon as possible. If the order has already been shipped, we can not change the order, however, orders can be returned according to our return policy.  
           
Can I cancel my order, once it has been confirmed?            
Yes of course, however, if it already has been shipped, please note that we do not cover the return costs.

What payment methods does anecdote.nl accept?            
Payment is done in the currency of the web shop, namely Euro (€). You can pay for your order with Creditcard, Ideal or Paypal. Payments to Anecdote are safely conducted through the Multisafepay payment system. Please note we do not store your payment details!

2. Shipping        

What countries does anecdote.nl ship to?            
We ship to all EU markets and selected international markets. For shipments outside of the EU, please contact online@anecdote.nl. For all EU shipments, your parcels will be handled through the carrier service Post NL. Please note that Post NL does utilise local partners in some markets outside of the Netherlands. For shipments outside the EU, your parcels will be handled by UPS.

How much does shipping cost?            
- Shipping in the Netherlands is free for orders above €75, otherwise €4.95
- Shipping in the EU is free for orders above €150, otherwise €6.00
- Shipping within Europe to non-EU countries is free for orders above €200, otherwise €10.00. Please note, free shipping does not include possible import duties and/or VAT charges incurred upon importing the online order to your country
- For orders outside of Europe, shipping costs €25.00. Please note this does not include possible import duties and/or VAT charges incurred upon importing the online order to your country. Such fees and charges are the responsibility of the recipient and vary from country to country

When will my order be delivered?            
Orders from the Netherlands will be delivered within 1 - 4 working days. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking code that allows you to follow your parcel until arrival.            
Expected shipment time within Europe is 2 - 5 working days, depending on country & postal code. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a tracking code that allows you to follow your parcel until it has arrived.  

3. Returns           

How do I return an item?
We strive to deliver the best possible products. We understand, however, that shopping online means you sometimes order the wrong size or simply just don't like the item once you put it on. No problem, if you wish to return certain products within your order (also in sale!), you can return them within 14 days of receiving the order.

Please fill in the return form included in your parcel and send the product back to our return address, or return it to our store. If you lose the form, or it wasn't included, don't worry, please just include your order form or write the order number somewhere visible on the box.
 
Once your return has been received, you will receive a confirmation email with your refund details. Generally we process refunds the same day as receiving the returned item, however, depending on your bank or credit card company this may take up to 48 hrs to reach you.

Can I return my online order in the physical store?
Yes absolutely. We want to make returns as easy as possible for you - feel free to return your online order in our store located at Wolvenstraat 15, 1016 EM Amsterdam. Please note the refund will not take place in store, but online through the original payment method.

4. Damaged items or incomplete orders            

What do I do if there is something wrong with my order?      
Our most sincere apologies, if you received an incomplete order or a damaged item.
Please contact customer service through using the chat on our website or through emailing online@anecdote.nl, as soon as you notice that something went wrong. Please include as much information about your order as possible. In case you received a damaged item, please enclose pictures that show the damage.            

What is a faulty item?            
An item is considered faulty, if it is damaged upon receipt or if a production error shows within 3 months of purchase. Items that are damaged as a result of not being washed and handled according to the wash & care instructions in the garment, or due to normal wear and tear are not considered faulty.

6. Sustainability

At Anecdote we feel items should last a lifetime, and this philosophy is fully engrained in the way we design and produce our clothing. Sustainabilty we intepret in several ways: offering clothing that is timeless and of high quality to last a lifetime, and minimizing impact on nature in our production and transportation.

Our clothing is produced by family-owned ateliers near in Portugal, Spain and Italy. We have selected these producers for their shared passion for producing high quality pieces, as well as the working conditions and factory conditions. We visit the ateliers and factories several times a year, and are closely involved throughout the production process.

The materials we use are mostly locally produced, helping the local community, but also ensuring full transparency and the minimum need for transportation. Unique materials we can not find locally, we require full breakdown of composition, make and place of origin to ensure these meet our high standards.

Wastage we try to keep to a minimum. Where there is wastage or leftover materials, however, we try to come up with creative ways to make use of the fabrics, such as using it to develop kids clothing, bags (by a local atelier in Amsterdam doing great community work: Atelier de Mix) or even curtains for in our office!

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on unsubscribe from this list at the end of the newsletter.

Once your return has been received, you will receive a confirmation email with your refund details.

An easy way to calculate your size is to use our Size Guide. Please note that same size garments may still vary depending on fit. Anecdote follows the standard body measurement lists, based on average body measurements for all sizes.
